A2 Bilona Ghee — Traditional Hand-Churned Gir Cow Ghee
A2 Bilona Ghee — Traditional Hand-Churned Gir Cow Ghee
Before machines, before factories, before cold chains — there was the wooden churner and the sacred cow. The bilona method is as old as Vedic civilisation itself. Our grandmothers knew it. Their grandmothers knew it. Somewhere between modernity and convenience, we forgot.
GirGo A2 Bilona Ghee remembers.
Step by step, the way it has always been done: fresh A2 milk from our Gir cows is cultured overnight into probiotic-rich curd. At dawn, it is poured into a wooden bilona and churned by hand — the buttermilk (Chaas) separates, and pure desi butter rises to the surface. This butter is then slowly clarified over a wood fire until it transforms into our golden, aromatic bilona ghee.
What bilona ghee contains that others do not:
- Butyric Acid — Feeds and heals the gut lining
- Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) — Supports healthy metabolism
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids — Anti-inflammatory, brain-nourishing
- Vitamins A, D, E & K2 — Fat-soluble vitamins in bioavailable form
- A2 Beta-Casein Derived — Free from A1 protein entirely
- High Smoke Point (250°C) — Safe for traditional Indian cooking
