GirGo was born from a deep reverence for India's Gir cow — a native breed celebrated for its A2-quality milk and sacred Ayurvedic value. We are on a mission to bring back the purity of tradition into today's fast-paced modern lifestyle.

We began with a simple, uncomfortable question: what happened to Indian milk? The milk our grandparents drank — warm, golden-tinted, smelling faintly of the cow and the morning — had disappeared. In its place, a white, odourless, homogenised liquid in plastic pouches, sourced from animals we had never seen and processed in factories we could not visit.

"We don't exploit cows for milk — we serve them and receive their blessings in return."

Our Gir cows are free-grazing, well-cared for, and respected as sacred beings. We follow ancient Vedic practices to ensure that what reaches your home is not just a product — but a part of India's rich heritage and holistic wellness. Every product we offer is free from chemicals, preservatives, or industrial shortcuts.

In the Vedic worldview, the cow is not a resource to be optimised. She is Gomata — a sacred mother whose gifts are received with gratitude, not extracted by force. This is not a marketing position. It is the foundational principle around which every decision at GirGo is made.

When we say our cows are free-grazing, well-cared for, and respected as sacred beings, we mean it in the most literal sense. Our Gir cows have names. They have individual health records. The calf always feeds before we collect a single drop of milk.

We follow ancient Vedic practices not because they are romantic, but because five thousand years of accumulated wisdom about the relationship between humans, cows, and the natural world is more reliable than fifty years of industrial dairy science.

What is A2 milk and why is it better?

A2 milk comes from our purebred Gir cows and contains only the A2 beta-casein protein — the same protein found in human breast milk. It is easier to digest, gentler on the gut, and richer in natural nutrients. Ayurveda has always prescribed desi cow milk. Modern nutritional science is now confirming why.
Is GirGo milk raw or pasteurised?

Our milk is delivered raw and fresh — non-pasteurised and non-homogenised — preserving all natural enzymes, probiotics, and heat-sensitive vitamins. We recommend gently warming before consuming rather than high-heat boiling which destroys the nutrients that make fresh desi cow milk so valuable.
How is your Bilona ghee different from store ghee?

Our ghee is made using the traditional Bilona method — Milk → Curd → Butter → Ghee. The curd is hand-churned to separate butter which is then slowly clarified. This process retains Omega-3, CLA, butyric acid, and vitamins A, D, E and K2 that industrial cream-separated ghee lacks. It also delivers a richer aroma and deeper flavour.

Absolutely. Every GirGo product is 100% natural, preservative-free, and made using ancient Vedic methods. Our Gir cows have never received synthetic growth hormones or routine antibiotics. Their feed is natural fodder. Their healthcare is Ayurvedic. What reaches your home is exactly what Gomata gives — nothing added, nothing removed.

All milk comes exclusively from our own Gaushala at Site 357, 80ft Road, AGB Layout, Hessarghatta Road, Chikkasandra, Bangalore 560 060. We raise purebred Gir cows on our own farm — free-grazing, well-fed, and cared for with love. No injections or artificial boosters are ever used.
